The Bachelor of Arts (Banking and Finance) Degree programme comprises a 4-year undergraduate degree program. The programme provides a comprehensive insight into the principles of banking and finance and is the ideal foundation for a wide range of professional roles. It is a complete package that aims at ensuring academic excellence in the area of Banking and Finance. The programme integrates the theories and concepts of finance and economics in order to relate them to the current practices of the Banking, Insurance and Pension Fund Industries.

The aims of the programme focuses on the area of Academia, Industrial, Professional and Societal needs and these include:

• To acknowledge the wide diversity of students and their interests through a flexible programme, enabling the student to choose between a variety of modules in order to meet their particular educational and career needs and to foster their individual development.  To impart a broad range of skills; discipline specific, cognitive, and general transferable skills which provide a student with a sound basis for further study.
• Provide students with the key analytical and critical thinking, creativity and underpinning knowledge frameworks which provide a firm base for a broad range of subject’s disciplines relevant to the financial services industry. The programme also aims to keep learners informed and involved on the developments in the financial of system of the country
• To allow students to acquire the skills and intellectual attributes associated with employment as a  banking and finance professional.  This is in order to develop a graduate who is not only knowledgeable but one who is also practical.
• To develop awareness and appreciation for social and ethical responsibilities at the societal and global levels.
